Mayet (The Healer's Trilogy)

Introduction

Mayet is the widow of Kamar Tem and the mother of Tratine and Milvari.

The Healer's Legacy

Mayet's sole goal in the novel is to ensure that her son, Tratine, ends up as Holder Tem when he comes of age. She tries to seduce her dead husband's brother and is extremely distrustful of Kira. After Tratine is kidnapped by Toril's man, Lago Surrat, she immediately goes to Toril to inform him that Kira is indeed at Tem Hold and that Toril has a traitor, Jolon, in his ranks. However, Toril already knew all of the information Mayet had to offer, so he opted to have her tortured to the point she died.
