Plot Summary
Sylvie has been taken!
She’s a prisoner somewhere in the Havens, possibly in her own father’s home, and Simon is determined to get her back. But to do that, he’ll need help. He recruits a team of shadow mercenaries, men who specialize in high-risk operations and anonymity. With help from Kermal Brackenfield and the Cabal of Orc Clans, they find and rescue Sylvie but at a high cost.
One of their team is killed during the escape, and a high-value prisoner is murdered by an Air spell. Now Simon must choose between loyalty to the team and his duty as a Peacekeeper.
But how do you track down a murderer who doesn’t exist?
